501 Cherry Ave

501 Cherry is a mixed-use development in Charlottesville’s Fifeville neighborhood that combines affordable housing and neighborhood-serving retail within a thoughtfully designed urban infill site. The project was intentionally planned in partnership with the Fifeville Neighborhood Association to address community-identified priorities. The project consists of two buildings: first, a 9 percent LIHTC development that includes 40 affordable rental apartments, a neighborhood-scale grocery store, and commercial space for a youth nonprofit. The second building is a 4 percent LIHTC residential development providing 31 additional affordable apartments.
